Hi guys, Happy New Year! I know it’s been a long time since you’ve heard from me so here’s a little update on what I’ve been up to since the New Year. I was so lucky to receive a flight to Miami as a Christmas gift (Thanks Mommy, I love you!) so for New Year Eve until January 5th I was chilling on the beach with my cool Ray-ban’s from Shop Ditto. I must say I am a huge fan of Ray-Ban sunnies now since they paired well with every outfit that I wore in Miami. I had a lot of fun in Miami, from getting chauffeured around to joining a random beach yoga class. Miami is definitely a place to visit for any wanderlust soul, there’s so much to do there, I’ve been twice just last year!
Let’s see, I also received a digital camera as a Christmas gift, a Canon EOS Rebel T6 to be exact. I love it! I was so happy that I was able to take a few cool shots (including the photos you see here) and practice my photography skills while in Miami. Look out for more awesome content arriving SOON! A fellow blogger informed me about getting a camera and frankly, I didn’t realize how useful having a personal professional camera could be until it appeared in my hands. I definitely can’t wait until my content gets better as time continues.
While I was gallivanting in the streets of tropical Miami, I thought about what I wanted to do in the new year. What better way to start the new year by trying new workout classes. Now guys, I’m not the typical gym junkie… actually I despised working out even as a Division I athlete. However, lately my friends have encouraged me to join their hiatus and get my butt up to stay active. They’re really amazing, one has lost nearly 50 pounds within the past few months and the other is ran her first half marathon on January 15th! In honor of my inspirational fitness boss babes, here is a list of workout classes to try in 2017.
Also known as aero boxing, kickboxing is a class that takes moves from kickboxers and choreographs them with music. It is a high intense interval training that dabbles with various moves such as shadow-box, fancy footwork, jump rope and more.
Join in on a high-intensity fitness class that constantly focuses on various movements of weightlifting, gymnastics, rowing, running and more. The class was built to improve core strength and endurance by utilizing all physical tasks.
Explore a new way of cirque-style fitness through the use or aerial silks, poles, lyra hoops, rings, and more. The class uses stretching style exercises to help create new brain-body connections for those looking to venture outside the normal gym workout.
Experience a new world of fitness in this ballet-inspired class. In just one hour you’ll feel the burn in your butt, legs, and core to sculpt that perfect dancer body.
Bikram Yoga (also known as hot yoga)
Tone and detoxify your body in a high-temperature yoga class that will make you feel newer than ever.
Orange Theory Fitness
A 60-minute class that contains three fitness elements such as a rowing, treadmill, and weights. Through each element, your heart rate data is displayed on large screens alongside other members in the class. Each fitness element enables you to challenge yourself on how long you can stay in the orange zone.
