Valentine Day Outfit Inspo

Happy February! Every year I feel like the holiday season flashes in a blink of an eye. Poof! It’s February because who cares about January? I mean how wrong could I be. February is a month filled with loads of events such as honoring black history, Valentine Day, Superbowl Sunday and most importantly my birthday. Yes, my birthday is this month! Actually in nine days to be exact and I am now accepting present donations lol.

Besides my birthday, Valentine Day is one of my favorite days in February. It’s a day where we can unapologetically embrace our love for others. From sending a bouquet of riveting red roses to your mother’s office to setting up a romantic backyard dinner for two, Valentine Day is the easiest day to express your love towards another being. Plus the way the world has been acting, I think we all need a little love right now. Read ahead to get a little inspiration for the perfect Valentine Day outfit.

I had this outfit hanging in my closet waiting for another warm day. Luckily, Houston doesn’t have much of a winter season with below 32º temperatures (sorry not sorry to all you Northerners who don’t have that luxury). I felt great wearing something that was airy yet layer friendly for those just in case moments. You know, just in case you walk into a restaurant blasting the AC.

This Urban Outfitters blush dress is the perfect pop of pink for Valentine Day. The comfortability and lace detailing completely won over my heart. I see why the slip dress is a favorite piece among many bloggers. I paired the dress with a timeless army inspired Lucky Brand jacket to add an extra layer. I love that the jacket gave off a streetwear chic vibe, a trend that is very much alive in 2017.

To finish the look, I accessorized the outfit with a few of my everyday staples. Layering my favorite arrow and zodiac necklace from Anarchy Street with a rose gold Micheal Kors wallet to add a hint of shine. I love that Dani Song created a brand that donates a percentage of your order to a charity. Giving back is by far a passion of mine and I want to continue giving back in any way possible.

Let’s get down to the shoes. You wouldn’t believe that I waited over two months to purchase these Yeezy inspired ankle boots from Ego . My persistence definitely won a prize because I scored these beauties at 50% off the original price during Black Friday! What outfit styles are on your radar for Valentine Day?
