Fall is finally upon us and it’s time to trade in your favorite curve-hugging bikini for that chic dust collecting jacket. Even though we’ve barely come to the end of 90º weather in Houston, I thought I’d try to get into the Fall spirit by styling a few Fall staples. We all know that nude is definitely the color of the season and I just so happen to have more than one timeless nude basic coat hanging in my closet (stay tuned for more). Don’t get me wrong, I was sweating bullets in this Highway Robbery trench coat (side note – I don’t recommend wearing a coat in humid, hot weather) but it was certainly worth it. And I can’t forget that I thought it was going to rain, hence wearing a rain jacket came to mind to protect my hair… it typically pores in Houston when it rains.

During my shoot with, Angela of Luv Angela Marie Studios, a woman commented on my Ego heels (similar here, here, and here) and another shouted “Instagram” when she walked past me. I laugh every time I think about it. BTW if you’re the shouting mystery girl, Thanks! I’m assuming that’s something good. I also wore an Urban Outfitters bodysuit (similar here and here) and paired it with American Eagle jeggings (similar here and here).I completed the look with clear gold-rimmed frames (similar here and here) that I bought at “The Alley” flea market in Downtown LA, it’s originally called the Santee Alley and they have amazing deals! You’ll see brands like Kylie Cosmetics, Nike and pretty much everything that is on trend for the season, but of course anything super cheap is a knock off.
I used a braided belt that came with a dress I had hanging in my closet as a choker (similar here). If you didn’t know that chokers are a popular trend this season, then what rock have you been hiding under! I love chokers so much that I even wore a black one when I was in Elementary school, so I definitely had to take advantage of this throwback in full swing! My purse is from Urban Outfitters and is no longer in stock. Sorry! I got it on sale, but you can get a one similar here. Or if you’re feeling a little daring and funky I found a few similar snake-skin textured purses in different colors here and here. Don’t forget your handbag needs its own accessory too, this little furry fella would go great no matter what bag you choose. Leave a comment below on how you’d style a nude trench.
